I have the honour to inclose a Memorial from myself for submission to Her Majesty.
I trust that in forwarding The same, You will be pleased to make such representation as the merits of my endeavour may require.
I am unfortunate and continually ill, and the date of Newspapers has prevented my taking this action sooner.
In conclusion, I again reiterate, that if there be in the Colonial Office any charge against me prejudicial to my fair and simple Justice, I may be informed thereof, or I cannot but conceive, that the most exact and rigid investigation will show that there is some misconceived motive for the disgrace and neglect of which I have naturally complained.
I have to state that a Copy of the Inclosure was forwarded to the Governor-General and another to His Royal Highness The Duke of Cambridge.
